FAQs

Temple Chiropractic is a 100% cash-based practice. This is for a few reasons.

One: We don’t want a 3rd party that has no understanding of neurologically based chiropractic to dictate your care. We perform a thorough health history, consultation and examination to determine exactly the type of care you need, whereas insurance companies, IF they allow chiropractic, allot 8-12 visits across the board, no matter what your nervous system requires.

Two: Our cash rates are more affordable than the vast majority of insurance copays. Not participating in insurance structures allows us to legally set our own cash rates, provide discounts and save you and your family money.

Three: Chiropractic is well-care; insurance is sick care. Kind of like care insurance pays for damages in a time of crisis, but not for your gas or windshield wipers. Health insurance is very much the same — a security blanket when our health fails us, but not intended to keep us highly functioning. It’s for this reason that many insurance companies don’t even include chiropractic care in their coverage.

In order to best utilize your coverage, we can provide super bills at no cost that you can submit towards your out of pocket, out of network deductible.

It depends.

The answer to this question is very specific to each individual and their needs. Our thorough intake process allows us to determine how your nervous system will best adapt to our care. These recommendations will be discussed with you by the doctor at your 2nd visit in our office. Most people in our practice choose to be seen on a regular basis to upkeep progress and continue to heal as best as possible. Ultimately, it’s your health and your responsibility – we are just here to support you along the way in whatever capacity you chose.

Yup.

Chiropractic care is a safe AND effective option for all spines. Whether you are a day-old baby or a 98-year-old grandma or anyone in between, you can benefit from gentle and specific care! The techniques we use and the training we have allows us to adapt our care to fit whoever is laying on our table. If manual adjustments are too much for your spine, we use light touch force or adjusting instruments to assist. For example, for our newborn patients, we use the amount of pressure you would use to see if an avocado is ripe to impact their nervous system!

Chiropractic is a safe, drug-free, surgery-free, way to impact your health.

Simple answer: they were born.

According to research, birth is often the first cause of subluxation, or neurological stress. In a delicate system that developing at a rapid rate, the impacts of this can be detrimental. Often the first signs that a baby needs to be checked by a pediatric chiropractor is that they are having trouble latching, turning their head equally in both directions, self-soothing, sleeping, or digesting. Essentially babies should eat, sleep and poop. If they’re doing any of these things at 100%, there may be an underlying reason that we can help to correct.

Even in the absence of symptoms, subluxation may be present. For babies, chiropractic can be a preventative means to avoid many COMMON childhood challenges, that are not NORMAL (ex. ear infections, frequent illness, skipped milestones, sensory sensitivities etc.).
